Swollen, misshapen nose.
A face bloated by blows,
or a really severe case of mumps?
/// As a poet and novelist Dane,
he was famed for his frank, witty brain.
Like his portraitist friend,
(Krøyer), both in the end
used their skills to, with art, entertain.
/// This man loves his tobacco and drink,
so his health may not be in the pink.
Yet, on balance, he’d think
that a long life would stink
without smoking and glasses to clink.
