chose the base of a tree for his Nap.
Seems he didn’t recall
Newton watched apples fall.
If they do, they’ll smash into his lap.
/// His two feet are spread four feet apart.
He feels comfort, but is that pose smart?
Sleeping boys can’t detect,
(nor take steps to protect),
any harm to a vulnerable part.
/// Since the Boy Sleeping here on the Grass
knows his mother will likely harass
him for stains that accrue
on his suit of bright blue,
there’s a blanket spread under his ass.
/// The length of his nap may be fleeting.
There are dogs in this park he’ll be meeting.
He “man-spreads” when he sits
and while on his back its
like inviting a wet canine greeting.
