/// A philanthropist called John Cleve Green
posed for this dull, uninteresting scene.
I could make stuff up, though.
Mock this guy I don’t know,
but I’d rather not write something mean.
/// I don’t know much about John Green’s life.
Nothing scandalous like “left third wife.”
Here, he sits in a chair
with a wise, benign stare.
Boring businessman— no signs of strife.
/// His face isn’t what I would describe
as a strong Millard Fillmore type vibe.
Very few people now
can envision just how
Fillmore looked, but their faces don’t jibe.
/// We prefer art where folks show strong moods,
or odd dress, or bizarre attitudes.
Or some mythical tales,
but one thing NEVER fails—
when in doubt, Melcher, bring out the nudes.
