/// Tower Guard from the Era of Knights
has a pole for a weapon in fights.
Proper armor he lacks,
so he fends off attacks
in his vertically striped (slimming) tights.

/// Of this tower he’s just one defender,
but last night the rest went on a bender.
They’re hungover today,
so from work stayed away.
(If the foe should attack, he’ll surrender.)

/// Tights are splendid, but not much protection
against bruising or cuts or infection.
If a “kicker” shows up,
he’s not wearing a cup
and he thinks about that with dejection.

Perhaps Percival’s persistently petulant potty-mouth produces painful peremptory paranoia. Pleasantly passive pronouncements preferred presently.
