/// He is playing the part of a djinn,
and the costume is where he’d begin
to start “feeling” the role,
but he looks, (on the whole),
like H. Dumpty crossed with Keenan Wynn.
/// Keenan knew if he didn’t replace
this odd garb he’d have egg on his face.
But, between neck and leg
he was shaped like an egg,
not a djinn, but an ovoid disgrace.
/// In the end he relied on the turban,
and an accent that some have called “urban.”
When a djinn’s form is round
they could only be found,
not in lamps, but in bottles of bourbon.
/// Yet, no matter what liquor he’s in
when he’s there it’s a bottle of djinn.
One could sip djinn and juice,
but for him it’s no use,
for the alcohol makes his head spin.
/// An occasion for drinking a toast
occurs often, he’s happy to boast.
But consume too much liquor,
and you won’t just feel sicker.
So take care you don’t give up the ghost.
/// A djinni who dwells in a flagon
of bourbon will find his tail draggin’.
Even though he may choose
soaking in other booze,
he’d be healthier if on the wagon.

/// Fifty wives for one randy old goat.
(He could brag, but he’d rather not gloat.)
Wives are blocked from our view,
but he’s keeping a few
close at hand, hidden under his coat.

/// He feels sick and should rest in his bed,
but must pose for this portrait instead.
So to soften the pain
to his fever-wracked brain
there are wet towels cooling his head.
