lovely girls need to dread
being brought to a harem as bride.

but in time the girl’s knowledge increased.
Elephants were her passion.
Riding them in this fashion
caused great pain to an innocent beast.
/// Sometimes Sally that saffron smock slid
o’er the dress it protected and hid.
It was given to Sally
down in Hogan’s Alley
by a bald boy called “The Yellow Kid.”
