though he’d likely have won.
George, for power and wealth didn’t thirst.

Constitution’s unrolled,
and he’s sworn to uphold
checks and balances, just as was planned.

/// The American public embraced
George’s portrait. Its origin traced
to a painting by Stuart,
but the hunger for new art
lead to copies (which Thom Sully aced).
