/// …then he dreamt of a courtroom with creatures
who were faceless with featureless features.
One blank stood in the aisle:
“You can’t sleep at your trial,
and your farts can be heard in the bleachers!”
/// He explained that the reason he snored
was quite simple: he’s trapped and he’s bored.
Lawyers speak of some scheme
and that’s his cue to dream.
All things negative will be ignored.
/// I believe I know what his dreams meant.
They claim he had illegal intent.
Beset by faceless forces,
(just like all his divorces),
he’s here— (irony!) —not by consent.
/// That their faces were only a blur,
just shows how unimportant they were.
All external things dim
if they’re not about him,
or with his shifting statements concur.
