He’s a pro, though, and wants to begin
to lay Debbie’s cable
as soon as he’s able.
So he asked, “Where can I plug it in?”

Larry sensed Debbie’d misunderstood.
“I just came for the cable,
not to mend your end-table.”
(She had asked Larry if he had wood.)

At last, catching wise, Larry said, “Hon—
what you want, I now see,
is pay cable for free.
Git some clothes on and I’ll git ‘er done.”
