is a necklace, hand-made out of shells.
Each girl hinted that she
would like jewels from the sea.
They meant pearls, not the oyster (which smells).

If accosted by threatening churls,
they could make a loud honk—
just blow into a conch…
an advantage of shells over pearls.
/// If a villainous man wants to mug
this young girl, clutching her for a hug.
Those sharp shells would, if pressed,
pierce deep holes in his chest,
and she soon would be rid of the thug.

aren’t bottoms, they only sell tops.
Shells which stick, despite ripples
to breasts, covering nipples.
