/// The Duke’s barber proceeded to drape
o’er his torso a gray barber’s cape.
Round Duke’s neck he then wound
some black paper he’d found,
Which protected from larynx to nape.

/// But, the Duke isn’t there to be shaved.
And a haircut he also had waived.
The Duke told him to place
phony hair on his face
to disguise him. (The Duke misbehaved.)

/// Fake mustache and long sideburns are viewed
under three separate wigs, oddly skewed.
But no one would be fooled,
for the spirit gum cooled
and both Duke and disguise came unglued.
