/// Not much tennis at this Tennis Party.
It’s their laugh, not their sport, which is hearty.
Dennis toyed with his racket.
Hit the ball? Couldn’t hack it.
But two girls (and one guy) think he’s “arty.”
/// So they lounge in the shade of a tree.
Dennis riffs to dispel their ennui.
Haven’t played a set yet,
never once broke a sweat.
He just hones his high-flown repartee.
/// Now’s the moment both girls have been dreading:
Denny’s mansplaining while he’s manspreading.
But the game they prefer
is one played “her on her,”
while he clearly expects some manbedding.
/// Because Denny’s the sort of a fellow
who wears trousers a buttery yellow,
he must take special pains
to clean up the grass stains,
before seeking sex at the bordello.
/// Pay no heed how the setting enchants—
never sprawl on a lawn in light pants.
The grass stains your seat green,
(it will never come clean),
not to mention the dirt, dew, and ants.
