/// Julius Drewe checked his book to examine
whether he’d before caught this type salmon.
He had authored with pride
“Scotland’s Fish-Watchers Guide.”
Julius feasted and never knew famine.
/// There be lads who think fishing is cruel,
but to Drewe, fairness shone like a jewel.
Showing breeding, with love
Julius “threw down the glove,”
and he challenged the fish to a duel.
/// The stout salmon ignored Mr. Drewe,
and the glove that he’d dropped near his shoe.
Julius climbed o’er the rocks,
turned the fish into lox—
(with a knish, that’s a lunch wish come true).
