/// Déjà vu, this has happened before!
She will leave here, but not through the door.
If Samantha is right,
soon a bright beam of light
will compel her to float off the floor.

/// Though the ceiling is solid, she’ll rise
and pass through it into murky skies.
She’ll arrive in a place
with a strange dwarf-like race,
and Samantha will doubt her own eyes.

/// In vague memories creatures surround her,
What is now called “a Fourth Close Encounter.”
She’ll be gone for a while,
then returned with a smile.
(As a part of their probes these “men” mount her.)

/// All the Greys were quite gentle and sweet.
Most considerate lovers she’d meet.
It’s one in a million,
the father’s Reptilian.
You can tell by the baby’s webbed-feet.

That night, Catherine Moore would finally work up the courage to tell her husband, Clement, that there were reindeer on their roof. The poem her fantasies inspired would eventually pay for her treatments.
