/// On the balcony where these friends met,
each one savors the summer sunset.
In this calm Nordic clime
twilight lasts a long time.
When it’s dark will they cling tête-à-tête?

/// From this lake and surroundings flow calm.
Golden light and soft sounds are a balm.
Some who view these two mention
they sense sexual tension,
but the surface is peaceful aplomb.

/// Are these lovers? I’m doubting it since
those who posed were a singer and Prince.
In the beholders’ eyes
are seen “clues” to surmise
what they will; they’ll be hard to convince.

/// They are both fans of fresh Russian blini,
caviar and a vodka martini.

her most scandalous Swedish bikini.

/// These two Swedes are acutely aware
that they’d make an adorable pair,
yet decide not to mate
because on this first date,
at the lake they would each rather stare.

/// Both are Nordic in features and shade,
so genetically they “have it made.”
Should these two choose to stay
in today’s USA,
immigration might well be okayed.
