A self-portrait by him, I’d have guessed.
That may not be correct.
There are those who suspect
it was done in his style they attest.
/// So, some painter now known to no one
made a copy of work West had done.
Thus, we read ”After West.”
I assume West’s was best,
so why didn’t his self-portrait run?

Mr. West probes his swollen neck gland.
His lymph nodes are sore
and the collar he wore
Is constricting much more than he’d planned.
