P.S. If you don't already know, you can use Google (http://images.google.com/) to search for similar images online (that's how I found who the artist was). Simply click the camera icon to the right of the text box in the search bar and drop the image (doesn't have to be online, can be on your computer) in the box that opens. If it's online, you can also point to it there. I found it to be a great time saver.
As I commented at GoComics July 29 (http://www.gocomics.com/that-is-priceless/2014/07/29, see the comment for links to information about the painting and artist), this isn't by an Unknown artist. Johann Georg Ziesenis painted it in 1760.
