MASTERPIECE #1437
An early title for this was An Idyll. This shows the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica entry for the artist's bio, which lists 1853 for the date. That has been propagated online, and it is about as popular as 1852 for this painting. I don't know if 1852 is a later dating for the painting, or if that's a typo.
Its museum only says Innocence, Daphnis and Chloe is a 19th century painting.
