/// The Squash Harvest in Provence is here,
but it won’t impress Linus, I fear.
All the gourds are first rate,
so each pumpkin is great,
yet the patch where they grow’s not sincere.
/// Raising big perfect pumpkins takes pros,
who use science to boost how it grows.
Linus feared what he’d find:
Engineered and designed,
these freak gourds here are all GMOs!
Haiku:
Linus forgot that
although pumpkins may be gourds,
Peanuts are legumes.
/// A misogynist farmer named Peter
grew a pumpkin that was a “two-seater.”
That huge gourd was so wide
his wife huddled inside
and could hide when he threatened to beat her.
