/// At the Barber, Clothilde multitasks:
Lathers faces with soap stored in casks,
while the boss, named Pierre,
(who is styling wig hair),
gives her kisses, (and more if she asks).
/// Warm white foam gives a soft, soothing sense
before shaving, which can be intense.
On her boss she’s brushed lather,
and he’s told her he’d rather
spread the foam over her than on Gents.
/// Jobs are scarce. For that reason Clothilde
knows employment requires her to yield.
She is used to this life,
and despite Pierre’s wife,
he will never cease playing the field.
/// In this workplace affection is shown;
pinch a cheek while a razor you hone.
But mishaps do occur.
He was once goosed by her—
Pierre’s customer? Cut to the bone.
